HOW TO LEARN TO FLY FPV DRONES

FPV drone racing is quickly becoming one of the most popular competitions in the world of drones, as enthusiasts are drawn to the thrill of flying an FPV drone at high speeds through obstacles and around tight turns.

In case you didn't know, FPV means (First Person View) which means, you see the Drone footage live, through a headset as if you were the one flying inside the drone.

There are a number of different things that can be done to prepare for FPV racing and become a more successful pilot so here we will teach you about flying all kinds of drones.

Remember to check out more of the action from our drones when you follow us on our Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.

Download an FPV flight simulator

On your computer, you can download flight simulators, which will help you practice the movements of the controls without breaking your FPV all the time in air accidents.

Normally FPV drones for beginners are shock resistant so you might crash from time to time, but it's best if you've at least practiced a bit in a simulator.

If you already have a drone controller, you can connect it to your PC and thus use it in the simulator, if you don't have one of these controllers, you can also connect a controller from any video game console.

Here are the links to some simulators.

Get started with FPV drones for beginners

The second step is to choose the right drone for your skill level. If you're new to FPV racing, it's best to start with an entry-level model and build your skills before moving up to more advanced drones that can fly faster and offer more stability.

Some key aspects to consider when choosing a drone are its speed, maneuverability, and battery life.

You can start by looking in the market for some cheap drones that are already assembled, generally, drone pilots that are already experts in the FPV world, buy all the parts separately and assemble their ideal drone.

Practice a lot with your first drone in open spaces

One of the most important things to do before launching into FPV racing is to practice a lot with your first drone. This will help you feel comfortable flying at high speeds and navigating tight turns and obstacles.

The best place to start practicing is in open spaces, like fields or parks, where you have plenty of room to fly without worrying about hitting something.

As you become more comfortable with your flying skills, you can start practicing in more challenging environments, such as forests or areas with obstacles where there are no people around.

Create obstacles to learn to maneuver your FPV

One of the best ways to improve your FPV racing skills is to create your own obstacle course and practice flying through it.

You can use everyday objects, such as chairs, tables, or even trees, to create an obstacle course that will test your flying skills.

As you get more comfortable flying through your obstacle course, you can start adding more challenging elements, such as tighter turns or higher obstacles.

Join a local FPV racing club

A good way to prepare for FPV racing is to join a local FPV racing club, where you can race in your first friendly race and join in to get a feel for how it all pans out as you dodge obstacles and race for the win.

Joining a local FPV racing club is a great way to meet other pilots and learn from more experienced people.

Most clubs regularly host races and drop-in events that you can participate in, even if you're not an expert.

If you are new to this type of racing, it may be useful to seek advice and guidance from more experienced drivers who can help you develop your skills and become a competitive pilot.

Take part in a race FPV

As a beginner pilot, it can be intimidating to jump right into a race with people who already know how to fly, but with the right preparation, you can become a pro in no time.

With the proper knowledge and practice, you will be able to fly your FPV drone and compete against other experienced pilots, just practice often and remember that practice makes perfect, don't let inexperience stop you and challenge yourself to beat all your opponents.
